How credits/tokens work. Unused credits don't roll over; upgrades prorated with supplemental credits; downgrades reset balance next cycle.

What changed in 2025–2026

2026: zero-credit chat and image generation on paid plans as a promotion through 31 Dec 2026.

Growth milestones

Genspark appears in our analysis of 2026's $100M ARR class. Figures are company-reported unless stated.

  • 2026-01: Added $25M to its Series B (round total $300M) and said ARR passed $100M; launched AI Workspace 2.0. (source)
  • 2026-06: Series B extended to $485M at a $2.6B valuation (TechCrunch unicorn list; investors incl. LG Technology Ventures, SBI, Emergence Capital); also appointed a CRO for enterprise sales. (source)

How it grows

Consumer/prosumer PLG with a generous daily free allowance, promotional 'free chat/image' on paid plans to drive upgrades, viral shareable outputs (Sparkpages, slides); moving upmarket with enterprise workspace and a newly hired CRO.

What you can steal

  1. Pricing

Making the everyday action free and charging credits only for heavy agent work makes a credit plan feel generous. Make the frequent action free and charge for the expensive one.

  2. usage-based pricing

Price per unit of work (credits per task) inside a monthly bundle: customers get a predictable bill while heavy users self-select into bigger buckets.

  3. low-budget growth

Give away the low-cost actions (chat) and meter the expensive ones; a free daily allowance creates a habit before asking for money.

  4. land and expand

Start with individuals on a card, then add a Team tier and an enterprise sales hire once usage inside companies is visible.
