Usage component. Outcome = customer confirms resolution, or doesn't ask for more help after Fin responds, or Fin completes a workflow (Procedure) including handoffs. Charged at most once per conversation; refunded if reopened; nothing charged if Fin can't answer or the customer asks for a human.
How credits/tokens work. Pure outcome meter for the AI agent; no platform or setup fee for standalone Fin.
What changed in 2025–2026
Around May 2026: Intercom adopted the Fin name. 15 Jun 2026: Salesforce agreed to acquire Fin for about $3.6B; completed 10 Sep 2026. Billing unit described as 'outcome' and expanded to procedures and handoffs.
What you can steal
Pricing
Fin's $0.99 price is easy to compare with a human-handled ticket, which makes ROI obvious. If you price per outcome, publish exactly what counts and refund reopened cases, because the definition is where disputes happen.
