Growth milestones

Base44 appears in our analysis of 2026's $100M ARR class. Figures are company-reported unless stated.

  • 2026-08-04: Wix Q2 2026: revenue +15% YoY to $563.1M, with Base44 credited for much of the momentum; S&M up 67% partly from Base44 advertising; Base44 gross margin 'nearly zero' at start of 2026, guided to ~60% in H2 after Wix launched its own model (Base 1). Standalone ARR not given in this source. (source)

How it grows

PLG backed by heavy paid advertising from the Wix parent; distribution through Wix's SMB base; enterprise features (SSO) added in 2026; margin improved by moving to an in-house model.

What you can steal

  1. pricing model

Watch gross margin on usage-heavy plans: Base44 grew fast at near-zero margin and had to change its cost base (own model) to make the subscription profitable.

  2. usage-based pricing

Use two separate meters (AI messages vs integrations) so cheap actions don't subsidise expensive ones.

  3. land and expand

Five clear tiers with doubling credits make upgrading a natural next step as a customer's app grows.
